We wanted to add some cup holders to our pontoon, but didn't want to permanently screw anything onto the railings - these cup holders are absolutely perfect! I was skeptical that the round-shaped clamps would hold onto a square-shaped rail, but these clamps tightened down securely on our 1" square aluminum pontoon rails perfectly, and hold securely. The cup holder portion is removable from the clamp portion, so there is no fear of breaking them off if we plan on walking around when the holders aren't being used. We test-mounted them on a vertical square-tube portion of our railings, and they worked perfectly there too. The holders ratchet to match any mounting angle you may have. The holders are large enough in diameter to fit a big insulated cup, while the silicone flaps keep smaller cans and glasses secure and prevent them from bouncing around. There are drain holes in the bottom of the holders to allow water or spilled beverages to drain out. We will certainly get more of these for additional drink holders for guests!
