The construction is from rotomolded resin, similar to what is used in textured kayaks, which helps resist fading, warping or damage from lawn equipment. The hollow interior provides generous space for equipment. The cover is lightweight enough for one person to install. For the most secure anchoring, the base includes pre-drilled holes for landscape stakes (sold separately). FROM THE MANUFACTURER The Granite Rock Valve Box Cover is an attractive alternative to the standard valve box. It is made with weather resistant materials designed to protect valves from damage due to sunlight and weather.
