SOMELINE 2542M hand crimping tool for Molex Mini-Fit Jr and Standard .062" crimp terminals. It can also be used for crimping Dupont 2.54mm and KF2510 connector terminals. When a crimping tool is used on a terminal, two crimps take place at the same time. One is the electrical connection between conductor and terminal. The other is the insulation crimp which provides strain relief against vibration and tension. Using a good quality crimping tool will ensure that a full, gas tight crimp is produced preventing future deterioration of the electrical connection and insulation breakage. Mini-Fit Jr. 4.2 mm plug and receptacle housings are made of UL94V-0 flame-retardant nylon with a secure latch. They are suitable for high-current, high-density wire-to-wire or wire-to-board applications such as consumer electronics, industrial equipment, and automotive electronics. Commonly used in PC power supplies for the 24-pin ATX motherboard connector, 4/8-pin CPU power connector, and 6/8-pin PCIe graphics card power cables, ensuring reliable high-current delivery.
