1. The pad will be slightly bigger for margin of shrinking. It's not size problem when you don't get exact measurenement as advertised. 2. Maximum heat resistant up to 176°F/80°C, it can tolerate warm plates & cup. A placemat on top of it is recommended for hot plates. 3. The clear cover is a bit sticky at the surface, please put a tablecloth underneath or use a frosted pad when your wooden top is brand new or just lacquered, polished. 4. The cover will be slightly bigger than advertised size to avoid shrinkage caused by cutting or packing in shipping, therefore slight size difference is not qualified as a quality issue. TWO THICKNESS We offer two thickness, 1.5mm and 2mm. 1.5mm is moderate for all furniture tops. 2.0mm looks better, it is the best thickness for kitchen and dining room table.
