The 1 ½” wide swivel arm can arch at an angle or rie to nearly 34 inches. The spring-loaded arm attaches to the rolling base by a 1” wide, 25" long metal pole. . BRIGHT LED LIGHT, LONG LASTING AND ENERGY SAVING THE BEST ROLLING STAND AROUND: 6 WHEELS - Rather than a 4 or 5 wheel base that is more likely to catch on edges in the floor, the Brightech Lightview Pro XL has a 6 wheel base. With a long electrical cord that reaches nearly 53 inches, this wheeled lamp provides extraordinary mobility. 100,000 HOUR LIFE, COOL WHITE LEDS OPTIMAL FOR SEEING TINY DETAILS: The cool white (5000K) light is optimal for reading fine print (eg pill bottles, model assembly instructions etc) and seeing color contrast e.g. for painting, sewing or other arts and crafts. 60 embedded LED lights surround the rectangle-shaped, authentic 5-diopter glass, producing high brightness (900 lumens) but no heat. Being LED (ie energy saving) the lamp draws a mere 9 watts and will save you money on your electric bill. . WHAT'S INCLUDED- The Lightview Pro comes packaged securely in styrofoam boxes for the head and the base and is very easy to put together. Just follow the included instruction diagram; no additional tools necessary! The lamp's height can be modified between 55 inches to as low as 24 inches over a bed or chair, by removing the additional pole piece between the head and the base. It can even be used as a clamp desk lamp with an appropriate clamp base. It has a maximum outward reach of 29 inches. The lamp weighs approximately 27 pounds, mostly thanks to the sturdy weighted rolling base. The base measures 3.5 inches tall and 15 inches wide. WHAT TO KNOW- The built-in LED bulb has 9 watts, 800 Lumens and a color temperature of a cool white 5,000k. The magnifying lens is also built-in for added stability and safety. It measures 5.5 inches long and just over 4 inches tall (total housing for lens measures 9.5 x 7.5 inches) The lens is about 1 inch thick, and is made from real diopter glass, for 2.25x magnification of what you're looking at. The dust cover for the lens is not removable at this time. OPERATION AND USE- The Lightview's On/Off switch is conveniently located at the bottom of the head, just under the lens on the left side. To dim the brightness levels, just tap the touch sensing arrows at the top of the lamp head. Because of the built in dimmer, the lamp cannot be dimmed externally at this time. The lamp is plugin operated and works with 110v - 220v outlets; you would just need to use a plug adapter to use it outside of the US, as the plug is made to fit standard US AC outlets.
