These 17x29 inch doormats are made of natural coir fibers with phthalate free PVC backing to help prevent the mat from slipping. To extent life of doormat place in a covered area to protect it from getting wet. Natural Coir fiber is made from the long brown fibers from the coconut husk. The fibers are far safer for the environment than synthetic non- biodegradable materials, the fibers are durable and sturdy making them excellent for doormats. Shedding is a natural occurance and will occur over time as used. Coir doormats work best and last longer in a dry environment as fading may occur faster when placed where the mat wet for long periods.
