The new Daiwa Harrier X Conventional Rods are a series of versatile, yet incredibly powerful saltwater jigging rods built for fighting big saltwater species. A must-have addition to your saltwater jigging rod collection, the Harrier X can be used with both the latest and hottest new flutter slow jigs and knife speed jigs, as well more old-school treble hook jigs. Additionally, when developing this rod Daiwa solicited the input of pro staff, fishing guides, and fishing tackle dealers from all over the country to develop a rod that appealed to anglers in a variety of markets. For example, all along the East Coast, they're excellent for bottom fish jigging and in the Pacific Northwest they're ideal for jigging for halibut, ling cod, and rockfish. The rods utilize X-45 construction in their blank material to help resist blank twisting and stress and load up more evenly for a powerful, shock-absorbing parabolic bend. Fuji Tangle-Free K-Guides with Alconite rings are double- footed and incredibly strong. The guide design also rarely cause line to hang up on them. Strudy EVA grips make the rod easy to handle and the Fuji Backstop reel seat provides the rod with a strong connection to whatever conventional reel you pair it with. It's also rod belt compatible and even has a convenient built-in hook keeper for safely store jigs. Available in a wide range of rod length/power/action variations for a wide range of jig sizes and target species.
